Agilico Invu have formally announced the immediate availability of their latest document management software release - 6.22. Whilst this release consists of essential quality enhancements that will improve system usability and stability rather than any major change in functionality, it does mark a very important milestone for future releases.
Firstly, in line with the Microsoft Lifecycle Policy, 6.22 no longer supports the Microsoft product Office 2013 and Microsoft's Windows 8.1 operating system. If your organisation is still reliant on either of these software versions, this will need addressing before Invu Document Management can progress beyond version 6.21.
Secondly, and perhaps more likely to directly impact customers, is the discontinuation of support for installations hosted on Windows 2012 / 2012 R2 server beyond version 6.22. This is again in line with Microsoft's lifecycle management with the 2012 server editions ‘end of life’ as of October 2023.
The 6.22 software is a free-of-charge upgrade for all customers with an active InvuCare agreement.
