Fairtrade Fortnight: How is the tea you drink is harvested?

Fairtrade Logo

Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.

PacSol are proud to support, promote and practice Fairtrade, in fact a quick flick through our previous blogs shows our employees are pretty conscientious in their consumer choices. Whether a Fairtrade phone, reducing our usage of plastic or supporting the smaller, UK based ethical businesses, we are all too cognizant of the human impact on our planet.

However, ensuring that fellow human beings are treated fairly, given the opportunity to thrive and are  rewarded properly for their efforts is equally as important to us as ‘saving the world’. PacSol practices this first and foremost in its own backyard as an accredited company under the Investors in People scheme, ensuring a #makeworkbetter culture for its own employees.

To extend that same ethic further into the world, we rely on organisations such as the Fairtrade Foundation to push for real change through our consumer supply chains. By focusing our consumer buying power on ethical, accredited products and by helping increase the awareness of our product sources (through the support of the Fairtrade Foundation, Rainforest Alliance and others) to a wider consumer audience, we can help those at the bottom of the supply chain who are too often exploited by larger corporations.

Please do follow the links for more information on Fairtrade, Fairtrade fortnight and join us in promoting a fairer, safer and healthier world for everyone.
